Many guests surprise their partners for a special occasion or celebration. We need to be made aware of where to discretely send confirmations (if indeed that is necessary) and after that, the keeping of the secret is up to you. You may also like us to order flowers to be in your residence upon arrival. We are also committed to protecting our guests’ privacy before, during, and after their stay with us. How much deposit is required? $150 to secure the booking, then full payment within 7 days of your intended stay. Can I pay for a gift certificate for someone else? Gift certificates are available to be sent out to any person designated. They cost no more than the standard charges on the services stipulated in the Tariff and Other Services pages. Payment in full is required before we issue Gift Certificates. Are there laundry facilities? Each residence has it's own individual laundry facility complete with washing machine, dryer, sink, iron and ironing board. Are there business facilities? Each residence has a notebook jack for Internet connection as well as WIFI access. There is a multi-function printer, scanner, facsimile and photocopier in each residence. Smoking Policy We have provided facilities for smokers on the decking outside of each residence. We emphasise the non-smoking nature of our accommodation. Should prospective guests wish to smoke inside, then our property is not suitable for them. Do you cater for children? We suggest parents give some serious consideration if they should or should not bring children to the farm. It is impossible for us to childproof the property. Children require continuous supervision. Potential problems include falling in the creek, climbing the windmill, eating poison, playing with the chainsaw in the stables or falling through the floor in the derelict barn. We are also concerned about the large glass windows in the homestead which were installed in the 1800s, they are not made of safety glass. Parents should give serious thought to the level of supervision they will be required to provide if they bring children. If you are planning a group function on the property we require that continuous supervision be provided by hiring nannies and marking selected areas as designated play areas. Do you cater for pets? Pets are generally not permitted on the property and under no circumstances are they allowed inside the residences. However the homestead does have a dog kennel and may be used on the condition that the dog remains chained up, while not being fully supervised. There is extensive wildlife in the native trees and we want to encourage it, also, under Queensland Government Law, land owners who find stray dogs threatening their livestock are entitled to destroy the animal on the spot. If your dog strays onto a neighboring property, it may not return.
